Meka & Mario

Back in November, Danny Clark and I photographed Meka and Mario's wedding at The Gallery in Houston.  This blog post is way overdue!  The wedding was beautiful and the reception was definitely a party!  It's hard to pick just a few shots from a whole day but here goes... (make sure and check Danny's blog in a day or so for his side of the story)

Meka wanted me to be sure and get a picture of her shoes!

If you keep up with this blog, you have heard me say that I am a big softie at weddings.  One of the moments that just kills me is when the Father of the bride sees his daughter for the first time.  This one was no exception.  Her Father was so stoic and did his best to not cry but if you really looked at his face, you could see all the emotions just under the surface.  It's hard to see all that when the picture is so tiny on the screen but his eyes welled up and he just stood there without saying a word.

of course, the kiss!

After the ceremony, the sun started to set and it was off to eat, drink, dance and be merry!

The other moment that really made me sentimental was when Mario danced with his Mom.  He just walked up to her and before they danced he just gave her this awesome hug.  It was so amazing.

Then he leaned in and gave her this sweet kiss as if to assure her that she was still as special to him now that he was married as she had always been.

They just danced and smiled and laughed.  It was beautiful.   Can you tell that I am a Mother of boys? LOL!

and more dancing...

after the dancing, it was time for cigars.  Danny got some of the best cigar shots!  This is one of them.

and some of mine...TJ-cigars2.jpgFinally it was time to go, their friends all surrounded them with sparklers as they left. It was a great day!

Thanks guys!  Hope you and your families are enjoying the pictures!
